New Delhi | The Center on Tuesday gave its approval to
launch the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine in the Indian market and with this
Pfizer Vaccine is now the next in line. To defeat Corona, the country is now
going to get the fourth vaccine as a modern one. Earlier the Covishield of
Serum Institute, Bharat Biotech's Co vaccine and Russia's Sputnik V have been
approved to be given to people in India. At the same time, on Tuesday, the
vaccine of Moderna was also approved. Not only this, soon India can also get
the vaccine of Pfizer.
NITI Aayog member V.K. Announcing this in a press
conference, Paul said that Moderna has been approved as a new drug, which is
the first internationally developed Covid vaccine.
Paul, however, clarified that the new drug is allowed for emergency
use and Moderna will be given with two doses. He said, we have Covaxin,
Covishield, Sputnik-V and Moderna vaccines available right now. Soon we will
also finalize a deal with Pfizer for the vaccine.
Apart from this, DCGI has allowed Mumbai-based
pharmaceutical company Cipla to import Moderna Vaccine into India. Cipla had
sought permission to import and market the US vaccine in India a day
earlier.
Apart from this, he also cleared the confusion about the
effect of the vaccine on pregnant women.
The introduction of Moderna Vaccine is an important
step in India's accelerated immunization drive to vaccinate more people at the
earliest. Besides allaying fears of a possible third wave of the pandemic, the
new drug will undoubtedly help ease supply constraints.

The results of clinical trials conducted regarding this vaccine show that this
vaccine is more than 90 percent effective against cases with symptoms of corona

talks with the Indian government to explore ways to expedite the distribution
of its single-shot COVID-19 vaccine in the country.
In the last 24 hours, India has given vaccine doses to
52,76,457 people, after which a total of 31.90 crore (32,90,29,510) vaccine
doses have been given so far.
